my motor seized when i tryed to get the pinoin off

i was trying to get the pinion off with a butan pen torch i had a vice on the motor and a flat head under the pinion. i had the toch on the pinion for about 40 seconds and then pushed down on the flat head and the whole shaft lifted up now the think does not move. how the hell do i get the freaking pinion off

With a pinion puller.

"How do you get the pinion off without a pinion puller?"

Is it just me or does that sound like, "How do I get this screw out without a screw driver?" or "How do I drive these nails without a hammer?" or "How do I *^$@ Jenny McArthy without a )$&%?" You need the right tool for the job. You might be able to improvise, but you might also destroy your motor in the process.

no you dumb ass plenty of people have got the pinion off with out the pinion puller.

I use a set of dikes to grab the armature right between the pinion and can. With the can hanging from the dikes(you'll have to support the dikes on something solid), I just hammer the armature downwards using(you guessed it ) a hammer and a 1/16 punch.

Over 20 pinions removed unscathed.

Some of you guys need to brush up on your reading comprehension. So yeah, you can get the pinion off, and now, as per your post title, your motor is seized. Who's the dumb @$$ here?
