question 4 neurokinetik

Seeing as how you were brave enough to rip out the internals of the car and also seeing as how you know a thing or 2 about mini-Zs........What do you think about trying to install an external turbo.....the soldering on the internal FET upgrade is probably a little more precise than I can handle, plus the extra board probably wouldn't fit under the car body after I stick in the 2 extra cells......my main sticking point is where do I solder the + and - lead coming off of the turbo unit that is supposed to attach to the mini-Z esc.....I know the other 2 sets of + and - wires will get soldered to the motor and battery pods.....thanks in advance.

another question....sorry

I saw that on the mini-Zs, they are not using an extra board to solder the Fets onto. Is this absolutely necessary for the X-mod??? Also, I've soldered mod-chips into the PS1 without much trouble.....are the solder spots that much smaller on the X-mod...anyway I'd rather go the external route if possible....thanks again.
