HELP! LXX Char-G

I just won a contest on another site and I received a free LXX Char-G. It came well packaged and everything looked great but there is a slight problem and by slight I mean big. The car charges with fine and steering seems to work but it will NOT go forward nor backward. I tried a different motor (2.2) and still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas or am I simply stuck with a display car?

Adjust the motor in the motor bay. Sometimes it just isn't in the right spot and it doesn't work.

Does the led on the controller lightup when you press forward/backward? If not, the problem is in the controller.

Another thing that might help (if the controller light up) is to clean the metalplate in the motorcompartment. Sometimes it is dirty even if the car is new...

The LED does light. Thanks for the help, I will see what I can do.
