I have a modding idea
unless you could figer out how to keep steering and do this you wont beable to steer its a duel/tri motor(if you keep the back) but you install it on front wheel for fwd
i was thinking tou could get 2 of the same gearsets you dont want and take the gear off the axel. then get one on each front rim and lock the steering up. glue the motors (or attach somhow) right above the gear. make sure it comes in contact. then connect the to motors together and run wires to the back.solder them on the blue and white wires which run power to theback motor and try it out

Wow... I think I actually understood that!
I think that's too much work. You can put three or four motors in the back. The problem would be getting enough power for them. You would have to mod the PCB like crazy for any more than two motors. Maybe get two PCBs, double batteries, and four motors: like two cars, all in one chasis! Ha ha I'm crazy.

That's the way I was gonna do my awd monster truck. I was gonna put gears on all fours and a motor for each gear. The only things keeping me back are a lack of time and the transfer gear problem up front.

Whoa that would have MONSTER torque!
Oops I meant "What a waste of POWER!" ...unless you get one of those 14-tooth pinion gears on every single motor!

I mean SPEED rules! If your car has any torque/acceleration at all, that's a bad thing. That means you have to use a much lower gear ratio! Like, approaching 1:1! (which would work with four motors!)

Baby killer it was an original thought seeing as I haven't seen it posted anywhere. Just becuase I and probably a multitude of others have thought the same thing doesn't lessen your idea in anyway.

Your idea is unique, but kind of complicated. You would have to make a space and cut notches for the motor, mount a peg for the transfer gear and it would only drive one front wheel as I understand it.
The solution, just cut two cars in half and glue the rear ends together back to back. Then, reverse the polarity of the front drive system and connect it to the wires for the rear motor. No steering is possible at all with this way, but I guess that is what you were going for.....good for drag strips I guess and if cut right, should be perfectly aligned as the axles don't move.
Might need an extra battery or two, but most of you guys already have 2 or 3 in your cars anyway.

Sorry Audi, just letting the guy know there might be an easier way to go about making his idea work.
