Xmod battery life?

I'm thinking about getting a Xmod (the new black Skyline looks great......) and I have no problem paying $50 for the car, but a friend told me 4 AAA batteries only last about 20 minutes.

I have a battery charger, but I don't really want to pay for rechargeables just for the Xmod.
Whats the runtime? Does upgrading the motor make much of a difference?

A stock Xmods will run about 20 minutes or so on a set of alkaline batteries. It runs 45 minutes to an hour on rechargeable ni-mh batteries. (run time will vary based on motor and gear ratio used of course) A set of rechargeable batteries and charger will more than pay for itself sooner than you can imagine compared to disposable alkaline batteries. Even the xmods battery charger set (though not the best batteries for these cars) is still an excellent value because you get 2 sets of batteries and a fast charger that fits in your pocket for about $25.

your dumb if you think rechargables arent worth it they last 600 to 1000 recharges and its 12 dollars for a set and alkalines are mor than a dollar for a set also for longer run time buy bearings after you get rechargables how could you even think alkalines are better a couple sets of alkalines and you could have bought rechargables whats wrong with you ?!?!?!?!?! im sorry im just really confused as too if someone can really be this sensless im really confused now um so buy rechargables and forget alkalines unless you need slightly and i mean a miniscuile amount of edge in a race(alkalinesrun at a slightly higher voltage)but it wont do much just go sixth cell

sorry im still like kind of pissed off but not at you at god how can he make somebody so braindead what did you do to deserve it?why?i need to think

I'm glad you spent 20 minutes trying to think of insults to put towards me, but failed to correctly read the initial post.

If you would have read it twice, you probably would have realize that I never once stated that rechargeables were not worth the price.
What I was saying, I have no problem paying $50 for a Xmod, however, after factoring in the price of batteries I do not want to pay $75 for a Xmod.

How could God give someone such a incapacity to read?
How could God give someone such a incapactiy to use a period in a sentence?
How could God give someone such a incapacity to use the SHIFT key for capitol letters?
Thanks for the jibberish you called a response.

The slowest motor takes the least battery power b/c it doesn't work to much to get to top speed.
