putting a pinion
Okay I got my Team orion motor, and My pinion puller is gonna arrive in a few days. I was thinking, how do I put on my pinion on? I know the puller can remove it, but how Do i put it back on?

I think most people use a vice, but that can bend the shaft.

Disclaimer: Ok, don't take my word for it, i've never done this before, but I imagine it goes something like...
Wrap your motor in a thin towel and then grip it in a vice with the shaft pointing upwards. Line the pinion gear up with the shaft and *tap tap* it in place with a hammer.

... I put the armature on a solid surface upright and tap the pinion on with a hammer...
It doesn't take much force to tap the pinion onto the arm...

You want to support the endbell end of the motor shaft when installing the pinion. I use a C-Clamp or a hobby vise to install them.
