Change MHz

Hey

I have a

Jap Bit Char-G, 57mhz

and a

Australian Compact Char-G, 27mhz

the 57 has seen better days

I was wondering if you can take the chip out of the 27mhz and replace it with the 57mhz form the old car

if so is there any diagrams of what chip needs to be replaced

thanks

I don't know where the chip is on the car. On the controller, it is the silver box that is labeled with the frequency. I'm pretty sure the chip on the car is under that black goop.

yea but if you have fryed the PCB its not going to work

the reason i ask is because i already have a 27mhz car and was going to buy anothter one for cheap but then we couldnt race. so i was thinking just change the frequency in the 2nd car buy just changing the chip so that the rest of the char is still brand new.

I understand the pcb is fried, but as Hog said.

easier to swap the whole thing. I don't think you are going to be successful playing with subparts on the pcb. Removing is one thing, putting back is another.

Good Luck.
