Question anybody have this problem?

Today I was running my bitmod1 3.5 in my 350Z booster and it went to crap. I had been running it and my Perfection 3.8 in my 350Z to see which one I liked better. The bitmod1 3.5 was by far faster in boost and non-boost mode, so I left it in and put the Perfection 3.8 in another car. After running the 3.5 in my 350Z for a while it just started running super slow. I pullled it out and put it in another car and same results. I put the 3.8 in my Z, and no problems. I looked at the 3.5 and noticed lots of play in the driveshaft of the motor. Did the booster car burn up my 3.5? Anybody have a similar problem? Any enlightenment is greatly appreciated.

lol torquey i love that word. i think it's just like r-specs once in a while they come all messed up so it only works for a bit then it dies...try getting an exchange?

I had that problem with a bitmod1 3.8. I emailed scott c. and sent it back. He sent me a new one and a free nimh150mah battery just for the hassle.

I don't like those motors, though. The 3.5 and 3.8 have zero torque. I can smoke them with a green Zap motor because it takes sooooo long to get the RPM's up on the bitmod's.

Just buy an r-spec, or a DKS darkside 3.4

BitMod is too expensive in my opinion. I heard they take a whole week longer than toy east too. Hell I don't even want to wait more than a week for bit stuff

Yeah, that's what they supposedly sent to me the second time. It was the same as the first, doggy. I would just stick with the much touted r-spec, or darkside 3.4. Bear in mind I have not used the Rspec or DKS, but from what I've read on the forums, they are the way to go. If you need speed, add a cell. I always like to use a motor with more torque and higher gears. I used to use high rpm motors (less torque) and low gears, but I noticed a significant performance diff.

Yeah unfortunately I have been unlucky with these speed motors. I have already sent back my 1st R-spec and this is the 2nd Bitmod1 3.5 that I have had to send back. Scott C. is cool though, I am sending this 3.5 back on Monday. I haven't had this 3.5 very long. I don't know, maybe the booster cars put too much stress on the higher RPM motors. I haven't had any probs with the original 2.2 it came with or any 2.6's I've ran in it. Oh well, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get." The bitmod motors are a little more inexpensive than Tiny's, but I am sure the $ evens out when you factor in shipping. I might just order a couple more Perfection 3.8's from Toyeast, who knows. I really wanted to find out if this has happened to anybody before, or if I am the lucky 1st one!

got Bits:
If you feed ALKA SELTZER tablets to birds, they explode. Their bodies can't process the gas that they produce, or something like that. Go to a beach and throw some up in the air for the seagulls to eat. They are so used to being fed by humans that they think it is bread or something, and before they know it, BAM! (disclaimer: if you do this, there will be a special room in HELL waiting for you; anybody see Little Nicky?)
