Question Which size of WIRE for a Dual Cell Mod?

Looking to see which thickness of wire you guys use for the dual cell mods and such. I bought some 21 gauge last night and it is thin but is way thicker than the stock wires.

Someone HELP me out!!

Thanks

gauge isnt that important. you want it to be fairly flexible so your solder joints dont break every other day. stock gauge or slightly thicker(dont go too overboard) will work just fine. actually everyones coveted magical "cat-5" wire would work fine as well.

I noticed what I bought was a single solid wire and it pretty strong but will break off the battery I bet with little movement. Also I tried soldering last night on the battery and man it does not stick worth crap to it. I tried sanding it some to rough it up but any other suggestions.

Thanks

Hi peeps,,

Web Guy,, in order to solder wires onto batteries you should first "flux" the battery with soldering flux. (it makes solder stick really good) and be careful with the battery temperature,, don't let it get too hot. (let it cool down in between tries).

For wire I find that I use the antenna wire that I de-soldered off the PCB. I swapped antenna wires with cat-5. I would not use cat-5 wire to connect batteries and stuff because it breaks off the solder too easily if you barely twist it. (but it makes really good antenna wire).

just my .02
