Thats actually pretty cool. All you need to do to it now is but a full bodykit on and a spoiler, maybe some decals. Then it would be tight.

it'd be cool if it was painted to look like the rally bug or on the other hand you could drop it, put streetglow on it, headlights, and lotsa chrome with a funky paint job.

I ordered it from HLJ 2 days ago. They got a hole in the rear top for the ant. instead of removing the rear window, smart move.

OVAL!!
make it an oval and consider it mine! i have a 56 sitting in my garage. i havent driven it in almost 8 years. once i figured that any kind of accident i got into would mean glass salad. when it rained, my driver side wiper would fall off....haha....never lost the wiper tho, just reached around and grabbed it since the windshield is only 10 inches from my face. when i went past 60mph my front wheels would lift. yea i had a dual cell in it....haha 12v converted.

i put a bigger motor 1200cc, 1.2 <-- haha
and 12v , stock was 6v, <-- dual cell?
but yea my front tires would lift up, i carried 100lbs of sand under my hood so i could steer.

You dual celled your real beetle?! That's hilarious! But you converted all your electric stuff to 12v right? I got a 12v 68' sedan complete with the metal sunroof (which I never use, I'm as pale as the day I was born).  Curently sealed shut w/silicone. The felt seals were crappy against the rain, and I'm not one of those "stock vw" people.

stock owns but........
a non synchro tranny sucks.......i kept grinding first gear.....i guess i like to roll stop. i kept my bug as stock as possible...cept for the tires, engine, tranny and lights. i had the stock radio...but that didnt work too good. i got like 2 stations. right now my bug is sitting under a pile of other stuff i have.......it doesnt make for a good shelf, but one day im gonna restore it.
