MHZ Modification?

Is There Any Way To Change the Mhz To diff one? For Example a 27 Mhz can i change it to a 49Mhz Some how?:confused

I don't think so. At least, it would be extreamly difficult.

im pretty sure theres a crystal buried in the electronics that would have to be swapped out.

Yeah, that's the problem. You would need to change the crystals in both the controller and the car. That's assuming that they are compatible. Then, there may be associated components surrounding the crystal that would need to be altered to match the new setup. And, lastly, this all assumes that you can work with SMT components with a very deft hand and excellent soldering abilities. Just a small amount of solder completely changes the resistance of a circuit and all your work is undone. Not really worth the hastle when 20-30 bucks would buy a new car in the frequency you're looking for.

The SMT isnt 2 hard to work with, I am confident in doing it.

There is no crystal in the car, just components which together give the car its frequency.

i saw this mod done on the forum before ill try to find it. the guy mad a switch with both crystles.

So far I have found out that you will have to change the tuning coil, a capacitor (i think its the one closest to it), I'm not sure which other components.

In theory it should be possible to make the car respond to all frequencies, so then we could tinker it, and find a way to make it filter out the unwanted frequencies.
