I had 20 bucks and a weekend to kill...

I came across an extra 20 dollars, and wanted a project, so I wandered over to Radio Shack.

There was 1 custom hubcap and tire set, so I snagged that, then pirated the rims off my Zip Zap for my Microsizer.

I also got a couple white LEDs, and a 3v Lithium wafer cell, for headlights. I also ended up getting a 1.5v mercury button cell, and pirating the LEDs off my clone, for brake lights too.

Here's the mess:

I dremeled the headlights flat, so they are about 2mm thick, and 5mm wide. They hinder the suspension slightly, but If I can just find some springs, and ditch the sway bar, I'm set, because taking out the sway bar drops the front more, with no rubbing. Also painted the inside of the body black, so the light would bleed through.

The brake lights are not very bright, but it's kinda like how when your driving with the headlights on, and they're not that bright until you hit the brakes.

I bought I blue LED, to do an under body glow, but I think I'll save it, I'm running out of room under the body.

how did you get those front wheels on without rubbing?!

mine rubs when it put them on, and the turning diamter is like 2 inches, this thing can turn on a dime!

are the lights ALWAYS on?
when are they on, when are they off?

Do you mean without rubbing the top of the body? To solve that, you can find some OEM car with a completely flat suspension bar or make a long spring suspension so the tension will not let the wheels sag. To solve the understeer, I just out soft tires in front.

My tires rubbed on the chassis. I dremeled it back. I actually got carried away and dremeled back more than I needed to. I had to dremel the inside of the wheel wells on this Skyline body, but the S2000 fits no prob, so it just depends on the body.

To answer your question about the lights, I didn't want to waste space on a switch, so I just left the ground wires so I could easily twist them together. You can see them in the picture. Takes a second longer, and it might not last forever, but neither will the batteries.

Just wanted to add that I swapped the sway bar thingy for a Zip Zap one, and my suspension works fine with the headlights in place.

Just to make my bump worth while I took some streaky light pictures.

This one looks like a laser beam coming out of the headlights.
