I recently bought a 607002 (27mhz Cranberry Red PT Cruiser), but it had a problem with steering, so I exchanged it for a 607007 (49mhz Steel Blue PT Cruiser).
A few things that I noticed:
The 27mhz Zipzap had a range of only about 15 feet or so, while the 49mhz ZipZap is more like 50! Also, the 49mhz car seems to run longer on a single charge than the 27mhz car did.
I had read various things on the Internet about limited range with the 27mhz cars, but had no idea that the difference was as great as it was -
On to a question, I downloaded the schematics for the transmitter and noticed that one pin of the main chip on the PC board is marked as "Turbo". Anyone have any idea what this pin does (or is supposed) to do?
P.S. Here's a couple of cool closeup pics of the stock 607002 PT Cruiser. Sorry about the quality, cheap web cam LOL.
