Need some advice
I really need some advice on what micro to get!
The situation is this, I don't have much room - a 6 foot by 7 foot area is all I have. I really like the Mini-X and Mini-Z. I also like the Bit Char-G. Now I was going to be getting a Bit Char-G, but then I visited the Dinball website and saw how cheap the prices were . So my problem is I like the two bigger cars - the X and the Z, but would it be wise to get one of these? I am worried that I might have to get the Bit Char-G because of how limited my space is.
I was thinking that if I did get the X or Z, that I would use it for drifting, because I thought that this would be best for a small area. Now I don't know what the X and Z are like when it comes to drifting, and whether it is at all possible? Drifting seems more fun anyway...
Another thing is the Bit Char-G is a lot cheaper, but as it's cheaper it's not as good, e.g no proportional steering.
So what do you think? Right now I am leaning towards the Bit Char-G but I also really want a Mini-Z.

Bez,
Consider an Epoch Indoor Racer (Spec 2)!
The size is somewhere between the Bit and MiniZ, it costs less than the MiniZ and it's full proportional too.
I'm in tight quarters as well, as a matter of fact...My track is only 4'x7'.
And good ole Tiny has 'em for sale here too!

Good idea. I had my mind made up about 5 minutes ago. I decided on a Mini-Z, I just couldn't resist the looks of them and I've heard so many good things about them, so I decided that was the one I wanted. That was until I realised I had to buy batteries and a charger, and realised that it was going to cost quite a lot, and charging time would be a minimum of 1 hour, and that was on a quite expensive charger.
Now you mention the Epoch, which is a little cheaper. I downloaded the movie of it on your website and I like what I see. Could you please give me some more info on this car? I know nothing about it. So any info on runtimes, charge times, speed, motor size, hop up range, etc, would be much appreciated!

Hey Bez,
You won't go wrong with the Epoch, it's a fun car. There's also an Epoch Forum here you can check out for more info and some pics as well.
The car has a 3-cell NiMH rechargable battery in it, the controller uses a 9-volt battery and you need 6-AA batteries in the car charger (which comes with the kit).
Right now there isn't much available for the Epoch in the way of upgrades and hop-ups, but I expect Epoch will be making options available or 3rd party items.
The car takes 2 minutes to charge and you get about 4 minutes runtime (not really impressive there, but there's already people offering battery upgrades!).
But definitely check the forums.
Good luck!

Bez, it sounds like the Epoch is the perfect fit for you. The Mini-Z or Mini-X are too big for that amount of space. The Epoch is perfect for that space, plus it is the ultimate drift car. Email shop@tinyrc.com and we'll get you sorted for shipping etc. Thanks!
