R-spec first impressions

so i got mine in the mail yesterday. at first i wasnt very impressed. i dono if it needed to be broken in or it wasnt seated right or what but it was fairly weak. then after a little playing around i found out what the hype was about.

torque: not the most torque on a motor that ive seen but it has more torque than the tomy 2.6 and zcars 2.6. it has the torque of most "2.2" clone motors that i have
grade: C+

acceleration:
this is strange. out of the hole it is kinda sluggish but after a few feet it really opens up. so it goes from crawl to blur really quick.
grade:B

top speed: well it went about 10feet and i barely steered right and rolled it and landed back on my wheels.
grade:A+

also we tested it on an rpm meter.
****these are measurments of the wheel not the motor****
we havnt tested all motors yet but the rspec pushed the wheels around roughly 2,800 times a minute.

my good torque monster clone motor only did about 2,100

Thanks for the info hogjowlz.

A few questions for you...

1. What gearing were you using?
2. Did you run the motor in a stock bit?
2a. If no, how was the test car modded?
3. How did you test for torque?

Thanks.

answer 1: normal stock middle of road gearing

answer 2: i dont own a bit yet. i used an unmodded cyclona

answer 3: as of now the most accurate torque test that ive done is to put the car on a wood floor and see how long it takes to move.

answer 12: we tested the rpms with an old general radio rpm counter. it is lab grade test equipment.
