2.6 motor in ZZ

sorry if this is already posted but i bought a 2.6 motor for my zz but the top speed is slow and i have to push it to get it to go. what mods are there thatoi should do. Is there anyone that has done a duel battery mod. What were your results and was it worth it? I also have another battery so i am willing to do the mod if it will help. PLease Help

i got the 2.6 from dks and it was ok in a stock zip but i still prefered my turbo but now iv got it in a zip with dual batt and a pcb swap and it flies if you have the batt than go for it but i would get hold of a cheap clone and swap pcb boards since it seams you already have a weak zip than if your not happy go for the dual batt mod"and i think you should cuz there alot funner with it"
but your zip should definatly get this moter going with no mods so your pcb is junk anyway

did you buy the 2.6 motor for a bit or did you buy the DKS one??? Otherwise..yeah the dual battery is a must...but if you want a cheap mod try the no reverse mod...just add a switch to it and you will be able to keep reverse on some ocaasions...(just flip the switch)...
