Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but this formula works to come up with the ratio for each of the three gear sets offered in the MS/Bit set.
Where:
IS = Number of teeth on the spur side of the idler gear (smaller)
IP = Number of teeth on the pinion side of the idler gear (larger)
SG = Number of Teeth on the spur gear
PG = Number of teeth on the pinion gear (6 is standard)
GR = Gear Ratio
GR = IP / IS * SG / PG
Sorry. I can't answer the second question. I haven't been able to get my hands on any clones yet. Never in stock around here.
