umm..putty doesnt really shine at all...its flat
its this goo that comes out of a tube or whatnot, and you just put it on like toothpaste and then take a toothpick or something and shape it to a desired form, and wait......wait wait....and then it is finally dry so you can sand with a fine grain sandpaper

go to a modeling store/hobby shop...and grab some..theres many different kinds...they all smell...i have a tube of Tamiya putty...cost 2.70 i believe..but may be diff elsewere.....

also..for some reason mine takes off your paint, so be prepared to do some repainting if it took it off....

painting

painting really isnt that hard. it all depends what you want to do. on my most recent job i did a flake job (the paint that has sparkles in it).

1.sanded the bodydown
2.applied some primer (very thin coat),
3.sandy that down with wet sand to get it smooth
4.undercoat because i was using transparent paint (optional)
5.top coat
6.clear coat

just always remember these are small cars and too much paint will look like crap so keep the coats as thin as possible. i normally hold my brush 12-14 inches away for the best results. and also keep your strokes very even and NEVER stop in a stroke or itll build up and the job is a waste.

good luck!
