Lightbulb Steering Return Spring

I was always wanting to know if anyone makes some kind of stiffer steering return springs or not. Because it would be nice to have steering that centers quicker. Any suggestions?!

Because this would be a fairly good homemade product from TinyRC.com, don't you think so?

Wow, cool idea! We've got a lead on a company that will be making a bunch of BC-G hop-ups, so we'll see if they offer something like this, but if not, we'll look into producing them!

The stock spring is .0045" diameter. Tough to find material in that range but, I've bought guitar or banjo strings from a music store as small as .009 for some of my model airplane projects. You can wind them on the shank of a drill bit but, you'll have to play around with the size you use because, the loop will open up a bit.

What about the springs in floppy disks. I just took one out and it looks thicker than the stock return spring. You might have to bend it though before putting it on.

Tiny, I would be very interested in something like this. So with any luck I hope you guys are able to come up with some replacement parts.

I was thinking something like this might help prevent spinouts with some of the hight speed motors out there.
