cleaning motor

i read on a nother forum that if you stick your motor in a glass of water and run it it cleans it?

I'm not sure I'd recomend it. If you do, I'd soak it with WD-40 afterwards. I haven't heard of this with xmod motors, but I know people have done it with zzmt motors before.

I'd personally just take it apart and clean it well. Wouldn't want water to start to corrode the can or anything.
