Just picked up an X-mod today

Yeah I own a '04 STI and learned the there was an X-mod varient and decided to buy one today along with the AWD conversion kit. I have a fully modded Mini-Z the car most logically to compare with my new X-mod.

There are two big issues I see with this car when compared to a Mini-Z. The turning radius seems much larger than a Mini-Z's, the servo also doesn't seem smooth. And the other being all that play in the axles even when the wheel nuts are fully tightned.

Does anyone have any suggestions or responses for me?
Does anyone else own both cars? How do you feel an X-mod compares to a Mini-Z?

Thanks

ok first off an xmod dosnt compair to a mini-z cos its not in the same class. also what would you expect from something that costs only $50 when most others cost $100+. to fix the steering do a search for the "tite turns mod" then come back to me and buy some resistors

p.s. good find on the sti it just came out last week.

ok it wouldnt let me edit for some resion but to fix the play in the axels eather you can buy some "wide track bearings" or just use some really small washers. most can be found at any local hobby shop. also try to get some metal lugs.

Yeah, first thing I noticed with the servo was that it was a bit stiffer than older generations. Fixing the servo with the resistor fix works great, but needs a few parts to be trimmed to not bind with AWD.

The quality varies from car to car. My Impreza has no play on the wheels, but unequal rear suspension. [too much positive camber, easy fix.]
