HELP!!! I think my car blew up
My car was just sitting their with batteries in but turned of and smoke just started to come out. its not hot so I dont no what it is. I ran over and got the batteries out. I really need help cause I dont no if my will by me a new one

Thats what i did it only goes 5ft.Im
going to try to get this range kit at www.atomicmods.com my friend bought one and said it works.

Can someone please enlighten another newb as to why/how this happens and how, without the new resistors, can it be prevented, if possible?

It happens when your antenna wire touches the battery terminal which in short... shorts your reciever board because it is sending power and radio signals out while the batteries try to send pure, raw, unregulated power in... Causing the resistor to overload and get so hot it either burns up, catches on fire, or just melts down... REMOVE YOUR BATTERIES BEFORE WORKING ON YOUR CAR!!! Is that clear enough? Good Luck....
