Help with hardcore modding.

I want to change out the stock electronics on my xmod. This is what I want to put in.

1. Airtronics ES-01 Micro ESC
2. Airtronics 2 Channel AM Receiver
3. Airtronics 94091Z Super Microlite Servo
4. Thunder Power 1900 mAH Lithium Polymer battery

For a radio I'll be using a Airtronics MX AM Radio. I am waiting for a Nuke 130 motor from Atomic. I have aluminum cups already.

I am not too sure about the Lithium Polymer battery because I am not sure I can fit it in, dimensions are 2.67 x 1.7 x .47. I am also waiting for two lithiums from Atomic too, so I may want to stick with using his lithiums. Tiny RC sells a coversion kit for my carbon fiber chassis to use aftermarket electronics but I dont think I would need it. I have some scrap aluminum I am going to build my own servo retainer/ cover to hold everything. Let me know what you guys think of my plan.

I want to add that I am doing all this because I really like the 1/24th scale. I can carry my car and everything I need in a small tool box. Lugging around a lot of stuff does not interest me. Secondly I am tired of people calling xmods toys and not hobbies. Going to the hobby shop dropping money on the table and getting a RTR Nitro Buggy or RTR Touring Car that does 40 mph+ out of the box is not a hobby either, but it is very tempting. The stuff I want to do with my xmod is all hobby. Lastly people should stop classifying xmods as toys and their high priced stuff as hobby grade. THEY ARE ALL JUST TOYS.

One last thing, please do not tell me I should just get a Mini Z.
I really like this forum thank you.

i'd go with regular Xmod lithiums for power because they go on the outside of the chassis where the stock batts do. i believe they helped one Xmod to 50mph with a hot motor

I find using I-Waver/ Mini Z electronics, original xmod servo, and a KT-2 the easiest way.
All you have to do is remove old PCB and solder the wires of the new PCB onto the original servo.

Angry help i melted my motor

Hey Vagabond thanks for the encouragment and tips. I got a Novak Spy, XXL FM Receiver, Futuba 3PM Radio and a Futuba Micro Mini Servo. Almost everything works great. I got awesome, glitch free range, steering is phenominal but I have melted two motors already. The first one was a Stage 2 Blue. For five minutes the performance is incredible. Killer acceleration, and top speed, but the motor gets super hot. I mean smoking hot. I put in my new Atomic Mods Nuke 130SM. The same thing happened and I nuked the $40 motor. Am I doing something wrong. I see that you use a PN Racing S03. Should I try that motor? Does it get very hot.

It was so funny the Stage 2 Blue got so hot the solder joints came loose and it just seized. I happend in the middle of a high speed turn and it looked like my car slammed its brakes. Please Help!

I 'm using two lithiums and I cant find out how many turns on my Nuke 130 not that it matters cuz its fried anyway.

I want to use the PN S03 like you but I also want to use my lithiums with it. How is your performance with just four AAAs? As for gearing I I used a 11 tooth and a 9 tooth, both fried. I may just need to use AAAs.

As for using a 180 size there is no way I can fit it. Everything barely fits as is with a 130.
