Hey new guy here, got some questions :)
I just picked up a 911 27mhz zipzap.
The range is only 6 feet.
I bought a new antenna for the remote but it dosent help the range, so ill try messing with the antenna in the car next.
I was in walmart and they have 2 types of tinyrc's
Nakamihci with crappy bodys but great range and speed for 13 bucks and the new hot wheels KIT cars.
The hot wheels cars dont have the mhz posted on the package so how do you know what mhz your getting???
Also the hot wheels have a track for the kit cars has anybody tried it out yet
PS. I read the compatibity lists but didnt see if the bit-char motors will fit in the zip zaps.
If they do has anybody put the 3.8 in a zipzap, and how did it do?

Welcome aboard! The Hotwheels KIT Racers are not R/C, they are meant to go in a straight line, or follow track. No r/c at all.

good to know about the hot wheels.
I took the antenna i had bought back and exchanged it for a 3 foot telescoping antenna.
It gave me about a foot and a half more range.
Is there a way to boost the power to the antenna ?????

shred: i started w/ a silver 911 27mhz too, and like 10 minutes ago I just bought a 49 mhz ZZ and what people on the board say it true: 49 mhz gets SO much more range than a 27. Straight out of the box my 49 MHZ got at least about 15-20 feet, yet with my 27mhz porsche with the modded antenna I gave it still gets like 5 feet (minor mod only gave it about a foot, if that). I know this doesn't at all help you, but I'm just shocked at how much better the 49 mhz really is at range.

i think ill just return the 27 for a 49.
I only got a 27 because it was a porsche but it really sucks not having any range.

I asked the same range question down a few posts below, if you haven't checked this post above out, try it, there's some mod ideas, one includes a 27mhz getting like a 30ft+ range or so, those might help you. you can boost the range of the 27mhz, its not impossible, just probably harder than if you had a 49. hell, i'd give you my silver porsche shell if i didn't mod the hell out of it =p
if the list doesnt work just look for the post on the forum, it's pretty helpful
