New front tab slot cut (rough). I will be sanding and filing this down so it's smooth when I paint the entire car in a few days.

So far:

Wheel wells have been sanded a bit to prevent rub (tested, no rubbing at all on front wheels when turning, turning and rolling, both directions, no rub in rear at all). I'll be lightening out the inside of the body a bit (sanding out a third MM or so of thickness..), and then prepping the car for paint.

What are your color schemes?

I have plans for my Skyline clear body, a white base with red highlights all over, and so far the only decal I want on it is the big 03 number from a dry transfer that fits nicely on the top of the car.

Cool! Can't wait to see it.

You've given me some ideas ...

BTW: Nice close-up pics! What kind of camera do you use?

Sony DSC-F505V, I love my camera. Macro mod ownz j00.

For color scheme; I'm not sure which track GT-R from Japan I want to copy.. anyone follow racing over there have any favorites? I prefer blues myself, but I might go with the same color as my car; dark shadow grey (kind of a warm gunmetal color). I have some touch-up paint that I can thin out and use with my airbrush.. That's originally what I had planned and why I wanted to lighten the body- so that I can paint without 'adding' any weight. Thanks for the compliments!

Also, the rims are rough because they are 'prototype' rims. Finished rims will be a different axle, 4-spoke, flat black spokes and center with a polished lip.

Well, I -could- keep the PCB cover on with the way I have it lowered, I just wouldn't be able to lower it in the rear too. So, I opted to remove the PCB cover. I'll replace it with a strip of electrical tape. :P

Interesting, I couldn't keep my PCB cover with the RX-7 body when I did the front tab lowering. I guess the Skyline has more room between the hood and the front windows.

My lowered RX-7 has the PCB cover on in this pic and it's slammed...
