Carpet hairs stuck inside front wheel
I got a bunch of carpet hairs stuck inside my front right wheel. As a result, the wheel doesn't spin nearly enough and the car pulls to the right no matter how many steering/alignment adjustments I make. I have tried to clean the area with a razor blade and a probe, but the wheel is still pretty much stuck. Will lithium grease or some other sort of lubricant fix this problem, or not?
I searched to see if this sort of thing has been asked before. Sorry if it's a repost.

you can actually pull out the pin that holds the wheel on. Use needlenose pliers. Then clean the axle. Shove it back in slightly looser than before. Welcome to the forums!

Well, you could use thin tweezers to try and pull the hair out...Needle nose pliers may do the trick, but I prefer trying to pull the hair off first.

Well, I pulled on that pin for about 15 minutes with my pliers. Eventually the entire front wheel assembly came off, and the suspension spring went flying somewhere never to be found again. I then bent down to look for the spring, which moved my rolling chair, which then bumped the stool next to me. The stool had my cellphone on it, which fell along with the stool and ended up right in my cat's water dish.
Any way I can buy a new car without getting the starter kit?

You might want to make a replacement order @ Radioshack. Tell them you want just a car and not the controller, and see what they can do for you.

Don't do it, it will wreck it, it will never turn the same, and the pin can fall out easily. I did this on a BitCahr-G and found out the hard way. Just get some tweezers and pull the hairs out from the bottom of the car.

To get hair and other crud out of the front axles I use a plastic dental pic thing. Dunno how to describe it, but it's a small disposable light-green plastic dental tool, and the tip of it tapers to a real small point... perfect for slowly working out the crud.
Another thing that sometimes helps is to use standard waxed dental floss. Simply wrap the floss around the axle a half of a turn, and pull it through in the opposite direction that the hair is wrapped around the axle. The wax on the floss helps to grab a hold of the crud, as well as acting like a basic lubricant for the axle -

*That* is an excellent idea! Thanks for the heads-up -
