Lxx Type-R
I got mine yesterday. Here's my review:
The Packaging:
The packaging looks the same as on the Toyeast. It says on the back: Perfection-------*Double*--QC passed--Toyeast--Design at Japan; Made in China
The Decals:
The decals are good quality for the bodies. There are two drag racing decals and some company names/symbols.
The Bodies:
The bodies are nice in shape and form. They don't have the greatest paint jobs. [Some imperfections.]
The Motors:
The motors are two great Perfection motors. They are the 3.0 and 3.5. They are extremely reliable and fast.
The Gears:
The gears are good. You should keep them on because the wheels have been cast in black plastic and are very nice.
The Heatsinks:
The heatsinks are also two Perfection products. Both work great.
The Performance:
They out-handle any Bit and they never flip. They get up to top speed very quickly. When they flip they roll back onto the right side.
Conlusion:
The LXX Type-R are the best mini rcs for the money. They should be bought when you have the money.

i just went and checked those out. Looks like a good deal, and thos Ferrari bodies are pretty snazzy, but i didn't care for the booster on my LXX Modellista. It is too slow in the un boosted mode. You know if these are any better?
ANd down atthe bottom of the pic where they list option parts not included, there's a King 4.2 motor, what's up with that? I didn't see it for sale on the site.

They're pretty slow with every motor under 3.0 but with the Perfection 3.8 they are faster than Tomy. Also, the wheel gaps on the 360 bodies need dremeling so that the wheels don't get stuck.

depends
The shipping cost needs to be factored into your decision to buy from Toyeast. Their products can be really inexpensive like their Perfection 3.8 motors for $5, but the shipping is relatively expensive. Put together a nice sized order from them to justify the shipping cost. Whenever I buy from them I order plenty so I don't feel like I got that hosed on shipping. Look at their package deals. Usually they bundle a Perfection 3.8 with one of their Bits. Throw in another couple of unique bodies, another 3.8, and a few additional 160 Nimh cells and you're sitting pretty for a while. Check it out.

Find some friends and do a group buy. That'll solve your problem.
