The best gearing+motor combination!:D

When i say best i mean top-speed wise

Ok well on my best bit char-g i used to have the following:

Dark Green Gears(Bit Racer 3:43 smallest ratio)
Red Lucifer Rotor(3.0)

After discovering the extremely slow acceleration of my rc, i trie different combinations. So i tried a 2.6........ it happened to have good acceleration, but thats not what i wanted. I tried myself another step down to the 2.35 or the NOS zz motor, whoa you wont believe the results i have ogtten with top speed. I fratically floored the throttle and watched it take off to a rough and slow start. I just got faster, faster and faster, it wouldnt stop it continued to get even faster..... I am about to try the LXX "3.0" rotor with this gearig combination, ill check in once i get my finds, but as it stands right now, the ZZ NOS motor is the best when it comes to this.

after more tests the 2.2 motor came out on top, i believe with the smallest gearing you need to use the smallest motor i dont have a 1.0 so thats as low as i will get until i get a newer bit. The 2.2 as the only one with a combination of top speed and acceleration, so so far 3:43 gears and a 2.2 motor rise to the top

what i once more discovered.

Well after experimenting more i tested out the 2.1 motor and the acceleration was just crazy and the top speed was great, you people may think that this thread is stupid but im just trying to help you people out and so that you can always reference to this thread. So far the 2.1(zz turbo motor is the fastest with the smallest possible gear combination) I have found this out:

smallest usual revolutions per-minute(or smallest rpm motor all except the performance z motor)
+
the smallest gear combination=highest top speed

highest revolutions per-minute(highest rpm motor)
+
smallest gear combination= bad acceleration and bad top speed.

Since most of the smaller motors have great torque to push these gears, i believe that is why this is evident

zip zap motors in combo with the bit racer gearing system:
1.6= slow accel slow top speed

2.1(turbo)=slow accel high end top speed

2.35(NOS)=high accel mediocre top speed

bit motors in combo with bit racer earing system:

2.2=good accel bad top speed

2.6=bad accel bad top speed

3.0=bad accel bad top speed

ill try to get myslef one of those bitmod1 motors some time around here ill post in this thread wehn i order one and then get one.

Here is my lil comparo - orange gears are the higher ratio gears, teal is the lower ratio.
On a rating of least fun to most -

2.2 with Orange - bleh. Quick start but definitely held back on top speed even on a short course.

3.0 with Teal - I'd recommend only for big courses - on small courses the lack of accel/torque is really evident, but this combo has the highest top speed (no good on a technical course anyhow)

2.2 with Teal - the 2.2 has more torque so I barely noticed a lack of accel here - the top speed was way better than with orange but still less than 3.0 with either gear. I like this combo for Short courses, and can hold its own in long courses.

3.0 with Orange - nice accel, makes up for natural lack of torque of 3.0 - and the 3.0 pushes the top speed over that of the 2.2 with teal. Recommend short and long courses.

Overall I might even choose the 2.2 with teal in races since the 3.0 has a tendency to seize up, requiring a quick (back/forth) punch of the controller to get it going (never bad enough to have to push the car manually)

What gears should I use if I'm using a 3.5 BitMod1 motor with a dual cell conversion? I'm lookin for a set up that would have good torque and a high top end if possible.
