Need help BIG TIME...yes I'm begging
Okay, I just put together my 6-cell Supra and after adding the 2 extra cells, I get no power from the motor. The steering servo works fine. I took my Fluke meter and I have continuity everywhere and voltage everywhere except for the motor. I stuck a paperclip down in holes on the motor connector and checked for both continuity and voltage and got nothing. I tried another motor out of the stage 2 pack and got nothing. I took all the electronics apart looking for broken wires and found none (except for the battery wires that I had to resolder 3x where they broke off of the stock packs). I soldered the extra 2 battery holder to the negative wire that runs between the 2 stock packs and then wrapped them in electrical tape just like Bad Company showed......I'm stumped HELP!!!!!!
**edit**
I was just reading some other 6-cell posts and somebody mentioned a 8.4V limit and a circuit breaker? I tested my Rayovac IC3s with my Fluke meter and they measure a bit over 1.4V and as anybody who can use a calculator can tell 1.4x6=8.4. Could I be tripping the circuit breaker? If so, then why does the steering still work??? ARRRGGHHHH!!!!! HELP ME!!!
EDIT #2 +SOLUTION!!!
HEEE HEE!!!! I figured it out......I looked at BCs wiring chart again and noticed that when I soldered the new battery holer in, I didn't pay attention to how they were connected in series and I went from + to + and - to - instead of from + to - and - to + . I haven't ran it yet seeing as how it's 3am and I'm going to bed happy now, but I can tell just by giving it the juice that it's going to be a rocket!!! It even sounds like it's got turbo whine!!!!!
