The piece of plastic that retains the axle will just pop out, then you can remove the axle and clean it. Just take off the pcb/motor cover. Pop out the motor. push little tab in front of the motor forward and out. If you don't want to remove the cover, you may be able to get the piece out by pushing tab in center forward from underneath, while prying out on the cover. Caution, you may break it this way. I made mine a little easier by replacing the stock cover wit a bit cover and heatsink. Had to trim the heatsink a bit to miss the wires soldered on the motor. I was able to lower the body a lot more by removing the stock cover too.
