hey dabigpig, i love great audio systems, but if you would notice i was talking about people who dont know their stuff and you hear/feel only bass(feeling is a good thing tho
), you also need to have high range and and a little mid-range imo. i have a vingate kenwood amp around 40 watts teamed up with some quadraflex three ways with 6 inch subs, and i can rattle windows across the house through two walls. I have a long house i think its about 150-200 ft from the speakers and the old windows. now that i am done bragging... and i am not happy with sony, i have one of thier laptops and the clips that hold the screen down when closed broke for no apperent reason
