You need 9volts to power the transmitter. Anything less will DRAMATICALLY reduce your range.
The link you supplies is for 8AA. There is NO WAY it would fit in a stock Epoch remote. See for your self: place two AA cells end to end.......are they longer than a 9v? Just a little, don't you think!
