I've heard that the "quality" of epoch controllers vary. Some, like mine, although it definitely feels cheap, works well and the steering knob rubber stays in place. Others (unfortunately) aren't as lucky.
I bought a Mini Z Perfex to use with my Epoch and although it "feels" better, I end up using my epoch controller more (since it only uses 1 9V battery and for some strange reason I have better control with it)
