Thumbs down

It is only pointless in that you haven't made your point.
In fact quite the opposite.

If the bridge in your example is slightly over engineered to handle a possible extreme, wouldn't that logic dictate that the clips would be over done as heatsinks to do the same?
I put it to you that their effectiveness and efficiency as heatsinks wasn't even considered by the designers because IT'S NOT A FACTOR. What IS a factor is manufacturing costs.

Using the term heatsinks was in all probability thought up by their marketing department.

My point from the beginning has been that calling these clips heat sinks is pseudo-tech BS the folks who make the cars are trying to push on people who don't know any better.

Those same folks would LOVE IT if you bought that KIT racer just for a supposedly better heat sink! IT MEANS YOU BOUGHT ANOTHER KIT RACER. GET IT?

As I said, just tell me the temp of your motor after a run, and how this calls for a heat sink.
(Stock vehicles only please, we're aware of heat issues with multi-cells mods.)
I have yet to see multi-cell modders taking on the task of re-designing these clips for better heat transfer, and necessity usually drives developments in stuff like this.
