This is a relatively SIMPLE to do mod, it involves no soldering.
Just open the chassis, lift the PCB, pull out the NiCad battery (comes right out, no soldering) and put the new NiMH in.
I pulled a NiMH out of a Zcar (Bit clone) and upgraded my Bit with it (it's a 100mAH batt). It's easy to do, and gets better runtimes.
Definitely a recommended upgrade, especially since it's so easy to do.
