Spanky-my mom is real into crafts and such, and she's used the transfer type foil that you're talking about.it's pretty decent stuff, and pretty flexible too, so it should absorb some crashes fairly well.but i think if you put it on something clear from the inside, and then look at the sticky side, it's more of a matte finish, than a shiny one.i'd be in for a charger body if you get them done.
