Nice idea!

What I did when my clone bits axle kept slipping out was to put some exoxy putty over the worn parts, left it to dry, then re-drilled the holes, hey presto, a new axle holder!

----While the putty was still wet I poked out the hole where the axle does go with a sewing needle, so that I did not drill into the plastic later on due to not knowing where the hole is ,all I did with the drill was widen it.
