Think about Lord of the Rings...all three movies were filmed at the same time, but they are releasing them a year apart. Yes, part of that is the time for special effects, but mostly they spaced them so they could maintain interest. They released the video shortly before the next movie. They'll do the same thing next year. And then after the third movie goes to video, they'll come out with the three movie "special edition" set.
