Hello, wild03. I am new to this forum. I have bought motors from this company and they do indeed sell to the public. There is a catch though. You have to buy at least $100 worth and they charge $2.00 each (regardless of RPM/color). So, that means you will end up with at least 50 motors in your mailbox.
All of them worked fine in my zips, except the higher RPM motors (31,000 and 34,000) were not as fast as the lower RPM motors (28,000 and less) when paired with the red or green gears. I found that the 26,000 and 28,000 worked very well with green gears and gives good competition for a red-red or yellow-red set up. I haven't modded any of my zips yet and I am sure this would help a lot.
Another thing to note is that the company does not provide the black motor pinion gear. I had to hunt all over Vancouver, WA for hobby shops that sold the BitChar suspension and Gear sets as they come with an extra three. I couldn't find and online supplier of the pinion gear, oh well its just money. Anyway I hope this helps and this is a great forum!!
