With faster motor/gear combos, a harder front tire/softer stabilizer will widen out your turn a little and make it easier to steer. Softs in the back will also help keep you from spinning out. With anything but hards up front I get some mad oversteer. Unless I'm going for some crazy drift action or I'm tuning it down for some more control, I usually keep the hards on the front and softs on the back.
