Question me too

there is a program for re-writing tankroms, if that's what you are looking for.
the "memory"of the chip could be erased when it was removed.
it could also have been damaged beyond repair.

i never got the rewriting thing working myself. (yet)

you need a pc with a com and parallel port,
a connector that will fit the 4 pins of the tankrom,
a conector for the parallel port, some pieces of wire suitable for the connectors.

and a software program, here is the real trick,
that you have to download from rc-micro.de.

realy interesting stuff there, but reading german language is hard for me,
i do read some german, but the technical slang gets the better of me
most of the time.

some electronics wizzkid could get it to work easy, i'll bet *laugh*

after all, i did get the soundprogram working, so someday i will try this
chiptuning thing too. i just need one more ingredient,

time.
