I'm not an X-modder but since the topic of trucks and SUV's came up one of the most logical kits would the Chevy S10/Blazer Cyclone/Typhoon conversion. Those Cyclone's and Typhoon's were bad. I raced one once in my 70 Chevelle SS 383 stroker and it totally smoked me. By todays standards they may seem tame, but you can do so much with those bodies and slap your favorite rims on and bling bling.
I saw that the camaro was mentioned as well and the 60's camaro's and the new camaro concept would be a great kit IMO.
Exotics are nice too, but don't forget that Ford has the GT old and new. Now that would be a great set to have especially if you are into road course racing and it seems like it would be more feasible since X-mods already have a Ford theme going.
Edit: I've been looking around the net and it seems that I am at least partially incorrect in stating that the X-Mods are not hobby class r/c's. The are so many hop-ups out there for X-mods, I was truely amazed. X-Mods are the only r/c cars I have ever seen that can take you from a nice RTR starter kit at a decent price and take you through from novice to intermediate to advanced with only leaving you wanting more once you hit the pro level. It would be a real shame to see this product disappear completely. I hope that another retailer will pick up the X-Mods line once RS has completely discontinued them.
