What's happening with this mod is that the motor has to turn more times to turn the drive wheels, resulting in more power on the ground.
These MTs are obviously engineered out of the box for a balance of performance and running time based on the materials used.
Any changes that fall outside the known ones are going to have an effect somewhere.
I added another parallel-wired battery pack from a scrapped MT for more running time.
