casting resin

I recently came across this casting resin and i thought i would share it would yall, since it does have applications in TTTT. Its from a company called alumilite. ( www.alumilite.com ) They carry a "regular" resin that is a tan color, then a "water clear" and i think yall can figure out how that will come out.

They also carry mold making materials like rtv rubber ( i use their quick set rtv, works great ), clay, and even a 5 minute mold putty.

One major advantage to casting parts is if you have a part that you are using in one truck ( say a gear ) and you need to use it in another truck as well, but you cant find another one, you can cast a replica of it and (if done right) will be exactly the same as the original. Its also great for those hard to make parts or parts that are a pain to have to make over and over.

Alumilite also has great customer support. I would strongly recommend them to anyone in TTTT or any other hobby. I plan to use it in TTTT project i've had in my head, and if i do use it, i'll take pictures of how the parts were made. Hope this helped someone. If anyone has any questions about casting resin, feel free to ask.
