sorry for resurrecting a dead tread, but i saw this and had an idea, so instead of starting a new one...

i have seen some real raised cars, and as i've noticed, they have part of the drivetrain under the car. so i thought, if you mount the entire suspension/drivetrain assembly on the bottom of the car, then use the pully mod to get power down to the bottom, that would give about 1" extra height for the chassis, but not the diff, arms, etc. but the extra clearance would let you put monster wheels on, so that's another .5".

i don't have my car w/ me (im typing this in school) so i don't know how to work it all, but it could...
