I just tested my RCP track this weekend. Used two Wide Ls forming an inverted J first and then a huge L later for speed. My car handled it pretty good, although I couldn't get it to drift at all. My friend's car with both 4 or 6 batts using an AtomicMods superstock was undrivable, as any turn resulted in it flipping, and it really wasn't going that fast. Maybe the plastic results in too high of a center of gravity, but my all-aluminum car had no problem. This happened on both sticky and slick sides of the track, so we wound up just running the borders on the garage floor. I prefer using the track, as it's a cleaner, more predictable surface, but I really prefer getting some drift. I got drift tires, but they are all molded plastic. I may make my own plastic tires with a plastic cast (leftover materials from my molded remote handle), but I'd rather get drift on the track itself. I also have yet to test the handling of my car with lithium. My car has shown no inclination to flip on the track, although I have without a body on carpet (tight turns mod). I'm also having issues with my tight turns mod not being so tight when I am going at high speed (nearly having to stop to get a tight turn). I'm hoping when I have regulated board power & surplus power, it'll have stronger steering. My friend's modded plastic XMODS also had a weird inclination to yank right at high speeds, but I don't think it's related to the track.
