I notice this is an old thread but I am trying to do exactly the same thing.
I just got an ZipZaps SE and trying to take the charging base out to make an adaptor for the peak charger. Notice that the SE sync the channel with the transmitter with the car when it's attached to the base, I don't think I can just take the charging pad out without trashing the transmitter. Doing that I will just turn the transmitter into a pure charging pad. Am I correct?
If that's the case, I would have to find and alternate charging pad. Is there any clone(cheaper) which is compatable with ZipZaps SE such that I can just remove the charging pad or should I just get a normal ZipZaps instead?
