Nothing is done to the physical antenna. Heck, you can keep that with you and ship the remote without it. The modification I do is applied to the transmitter circuit, which is one of 3 types of circuits inside the xmod remote. You have an input circuit, which is made up of diodes and copper contacts, buttons, and switches. There's the processing of all of those input variables to which a command signal is processed and sent to the transmitter. Then there's the transmitter itself, which obviously sends the processed signal to the xmod receiver.

So you have input, process, output. I am targeting the output, the transmitter. And the mod is done by applying chosen parts to the transmitter board, which will allow for more power transferrance to the antenna.
