No, I just simply lifted the PCB and installed two 1/4AAA Ni/Mh cells in series. The trick was rotating the board 180 degrees so that the cap now sits where the old cell was. The new battery placement is right behind the post. I'm interested in doing a FET mod so that I can run three cells safely without frying the board as i have already done so in the past. Any info on that?
