i figured out how to safely remove them and did some practicing last night. heat up one side of the mosfet and stick a skinny screwdriver or hobby knife. then just take some needle nose pliers and heat up the other side and take it off. i found that they dont want to stay in place when you're soldering them on. could i superglue them together or should i use another kind of glue?
